3 Unique Blogs You Have to Get Your Eyes On Today

I am a MASSIVE blog lover. I do love a good blog; Show me a string of well put together sentences, a decent layout and unique ideas and I am so there for it. I've visited tons and tons of blogs- probably nearing a few thousand. In my scouring adventures, I've found 3 blogs which I have visited consistently (and sometimes daily).

Post Secret

The first blog which I absolutely love also holds the title of "world's largest advertisement-free blog". How's that for a title? This blog is the one which out of all the 3, I only most recently found out about.

Many years ago Frank started PostSecret, an "ongoing community art project where people mail in their secrets anonymously on one side of a postcard"Frank went around with blank post cards with a pre-printed return address of 13345 Copper Ridge Rd, Germantown, MD- also the address of his then-home. Strangers were asked to send in their secrets, anonymously. And like that, PostSecret was born.

Since then, Frank has received thousands and thousand of post cards- ranging from confidential family matters, random skeletons in the closet and intimate desires of the heart. Every Sunday, 10 new post cards are shared on PostSecret.

I really recommend you check it out!

Makes Me Think

Okay. I'll admit something; I'm not quite sure if this one falls into the category of a blog...but I'm going with it.

I first found this 'blog' about 4 (maybe 5) years ago. Every. Single. Day. without fail, I would visit the blog which offered me interesting stories- sometimes sweet and sometimes bitter- with a resolution that made me think- hence the name.

Then, one day in October I visited the blog and found that as per normal there were 3 or 4 new entries. However,  the next day and the day after nothing new was added. Now, we're almost 3 years on from that October day and the site has been abandoned- which also meant that I had to find other blogs to read to procrastinate whatever studying I had that week.

You may be wondering, "Steph is this is a long-time, long-lost and forgotten blog so why are you telling us about it". Firstly, I like the way you think. Secondly and your answer would be because all the content is still up and I still go back now and again and give it a read. It's worth your while.

I searched and searched and scoured the web to find out what happened to the 'blog' or the person that ran it, but to this day that has been without much success which MMT (makes me think).

Ladies and gentleman, let me introduce you, if you will, to my first blogging love (again...I use the term 'blog' loosely). The site was created in 'retaliation' of the site FML (which happens to be a site that I often visit). GMH was a site aimed at inspiring and creating a space with uplifting stories.

You won't understand my love and dedication (...or maybe obsession) for GMH. I was in-love with the concept. The stories were inspiring. Just like MMT, the site became abandoned (although I've just seen it back up in a completely different capacity). I've linked to the new website, but it isn't the same. If you'd like to see it now, you can here

Otherwise, if you'd like more examples like the ones to follow, you can head on over to this post.

I really hope you take the time to visit these sites. They've inspired me, left me in awe, made me smile and sometimes cry. If you do visit them, please let me know what you think.

What is your favourite blog? Or a blog that you read 'religiously'?

Till next time-
Steph

  6. These look like really nice blogs, although the first one is kinda creepy xD imagine a murderer confessing his crimes on a postcard (yes, only Kanra can think morbid thoughts like that apparently...).
