My Life In Numbers

We don't think about it often (or I don't anyways), but numbers largely influence our life. Letters help tell us things about ourselves- like through writing- but numbers can do the same.

I'm not sure if I've ever said it on my blog, but my birthday is in October, on the fifth, to be exact. To put that fully into numbers for you, I was born on the fifth day, of the 10th month of the one thousandth, nine hundred and ninety eighth year after Christ, or, 18 years ago.

Okay... so maybe not exactly  18 years ago. More like 18 years, 7 months and 7 days ago...but who's counting?

If you ever wanted to know what 18 years, 7 months and 7 days adds up to... it's 6794...but again, who's counting?

If you've never appreciated your organs, I've got a number that may help put things into perspective for you...and maybe fill your heart  with joy. My heart has done A LOT of thumping and thudding for me- ALL for me. To keep me alive. How cool is that?

So... technically I've only been living, actually living, my life for 12 years 7 months and 7 days.

For someone who doesn't like to run...that's a whole lot of land-action.

I've eaten nearly 60 000kg of food. 60 tonnes. If I'm going to compare this to eating an elephant (because why not?). it's equal to eating the weight of 15 000 female African elephants. WHAT?!

I guess I had to get the product of those 15 000 elephants out some how... Too much information? Sorry.

Can we just take a moment to reflect on what 14kg of toothpaste would look like. So, if this is accurate, then I've brushed my teeth nearing 14000 times...and I still have somewhat yellow teeth? What a waste of toothpaste.

I'm just gonna leave that here.

I know this goes against the stereotype against my gender, but I hate buying shoes. I'm going to guess that my real shoe number is 95...less about 20.

How do you feel about doing some math: So... 18 years, 7 months and 7 days + 62 years = 80 years 7 months and 7 days.
Any one want to work out the day? Or maybe not.

I had a lot of fun seeing my life from a number's perspective. I'm slightly mortified too; I mean 15 000 elephants and 14kg of toothpaste? It's all a bit much for me.

If you'd like to see how many kg of toothpaste you've used, or when you're gonna die (presumably) head on over to this place. If you're as shocked and surprised as I am, write about it and let me know so I can check it out. Then, we can be mortified together.

Which number shocked/surprised you the most?

Till next time-
Steph
